Jets: With the signing of Ty Law and the healthy return of Chad Pennington, hopes are very high in New York. Team management is expecting this team to make a run at the Super Bowl THIS YEAR. If this team folds like they have in years past, Coach Herm Edwards head will be on a platter. G-O-N-E

Saints: Jim Haslett is also a coach under pressure in 2005. If this team doesn't make the playoffs in 2005, he'll be run out of town. The Saints strong showing in the last four games of 2004 saved his job. If they stumble badly out of the gate like they have before, Haslett may not be there the whole season.

Dolphins: Judging by what I've seen, including the Monday Night Pre-season game, Ricky Williams is not close to being the football player he was two years ago. Truth is, coach Saban and most of the players dont' want him there. Saban was hoping he'd look decent enough where they could deal him off. They'll be hard pressed to get ANYTHING out of him at this point.

Philadelphia: Could be bigger problems in Philadelphia than first expected. McNabb and Owens have NOTHING to say to each other in practice. Couple that with Todd Pinkston's season ending injury, this team may struggle to win the weak NFC East if Washington or Dallas steps up to challenge this year. Fortunately, Westbrook is signed and in camp.

New England: Bill Bellichick is not alarmed about losing his coordinators or two of his linebackers (Bruschi and Johnson). Yes, these are key losses, but Bellichick has won shorthanded before (see 2004). They'll be new defensive wrinkles installed so the defensive is not exposed badly. Bellichick believes Chad brown and Monty Beisel will step in and do well. Even without Ty Law, the secondary will be deeper, though not as talented, as years past.
